You can buy currency almost in any quantity. However, our foreign currency buying procedure has some legal restrictions. We sell foreign currency in accordance with the requirements of Canadian Federal Law, which stipulates that all cash currency sell transactions equal to or exceeding CAD $3,000.00 have to be accompanied with a proper proof of identity document. In addition, all cash currency sell transactions equal to or exceeding CAD $10,000.00, must include a declaration completed by the customer.

If you want to buy currency exceeding noted amounts we will accept defined identification documents that include Driver’s License, Passport, Birth Certificate, Permanent Resident Card, Citizenship Card, or similar government issued identification displaying the following:

• Full legal name
• Date of birth
• Photo

All identification documents in order to be legitimate for foreign currency buying transaction must be current and original (No photocopies are accepted). Neither Ontario Health Card nor credit cards are considered proper identification and we will not be able to sell foreign currency based only on their presence.
